It’s been a while since I’ve posted here! I’ve been very happily married for a month now! John and I are finishing up the house in anticipation of moving in very soon.
I’m closing down this blog and am debating about migrating content or just leaving it be with a link to my new location (when ready).
This will be the next to the last post – the last one will be my new blog address. Thanks for reading!

I just posted updates on the house over at its blog. John took last week off to do a tremendous amount of work. The finish coat of paint was completed today. It looks stunning!
We are so blessed by God!

Drywalling began on August 17, 2009. They should be finished this week and the “tape and mud” team should start on Saturday. This means we (I mean John) could start painting early next week!
Exterior is nearly finished. The siding guys keep shorting the order and this is the third time they’ve ran out. Some of the gutters have been installed. The detailed pictures are on our Picassa site.

I have way too many passwords to manage. When I was on the PalmOS platform, I used DataShield. It did what it was supposed to do and I became really dependent upon it.
When I switched to Windows Mobile, I tried several applications and settled on Ilium Software’s eWallet. Again, nothing wrong with it – it helped me keep my PC and Windows Mobile device synchronized.
When I wanted to expand that to my Ubuntu system, I was out of luck with my current solution. That is, until I found out about KeePass. Not only does it work on my Windows Mobile device, but my PC, and my Ubuntu system! And – I can carry around a copy on my PortableApps USB drive.
KeePass is free, lightweight, and easy to use. I was able to import my eWallet data as well as the saved passwords in Firefox. The available plugins add so much value to the system. My favorite plugin is KeePassSync. It allows me to synchronize my datafile will all of my installations via the cloud. Very convenient!
KeePass is a must have application in my book!

Our wedding invitations were delivered yesterday. Time to begin addressing!
I’ve decided to use my Grandfather’s Parker 51 with FPN’s Galileo Manuscript Brown ink. The color looks amazing on the ivory envelopes and there’s something special about using his pen. Here is a picture of the pen after it was restored.

You can read a good review of the ink over at Fountain Pen Network.
