…an honest day’s pay for an honest day’s work? When did we become a nation of entitlement?

I inferred from the Democratic Congress today that I’m an evil rich person because I make enough money to pay my fair share of taxes. Ergo, I won’t qualify for the Democratic entitlement stimulus package. Yes, I make over $75,000 AGI. I work 40+ hours per week. I pay taxes. I have a house payment and a car payment.

I don’t need a government handout, to me it’s the principle. I believe we’re in this economic mess because of (1) fiscal irresponsibility at the corporate level and (2) irresponsible congressional spending.

A couple of days ago, I learned about an organization called Citizens Against Government Waste. The more I read, the more irritated I became. I intend to write more about this, but I need to lower my blood pressure a bit.

In the mean time, take the opportunity to visit their site. Be responsible for your actions and hold our elected officials to the same standards.
